WHAT WE DO
Patrick started out in the “Additive industry” working at Wynn’s & became one of their top salesmen in the 70’s. He then moved onto STP, & Bardahl. STP withdrew from South Africa, which gave Patrick the opening to develop his own brand. Through a partnership with Unico chemicals a major supplier of Antifreeze and Brake Fluid industry in South Africa, Patrick developed his knowledge for these products.
Aran was established in 1981 by Patrick Hedigan. “Aran” is named after the Aran Islands, located at the mouth of Galway Bay in Ireland. The Aran Islands represent timelessness, consistency, resilience and beauty which we believe encompasses the ethos our Aran brand: Grand, Solid and Timeless.
We are suppliers of Additives, Antifreeze (Summer Coolants), Aerosol products, Engine Oils, Gear Oils, Transmission Oils, and Greases.
The Aran Quality Automotive products are made locally in South Africa, and we are proud to support our South African economy and the rest of Africa since 1981.
Our company continues to build traditions of trust and long-term relationships with customers, suppliers, and employees. The tradition of providing solutions for customers through technically sound products, with uncompromising service, to even the smallest customers, has never wavered.
